Learning to See
November 8th 2008Cuadro Fine Art Gallery presented its first lecture in a series on contemporary art by Bruce Helander, an artist, critic, author and noted authority on contemporary art. The art talk entitled ‘Learning to See’ provided listeners with an intimate and informative perspective on some of the most inventive and collectable works being created throughout the world. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy a gallery “walk and talk” with Mr. Helander and gallery Director Bashar Al Shroogi.
Helander’s most recent book of art reviews, “Learning to See, An Artist’s View of Contemporary Artists from Artschwager to Zakanitch”, was launched at the lecture. The book which is featured at numerous museum bookstores including The Museum of Modern Art, The Andy Warhol Museum and the de Young Museum (San Francisco), offers an in depth evaluation of many of the works and gallery artists on view during Cuadro’s inaugural exhibition.
