Niloufar Banisadr’s “Imprints” are a delicate interplay between absence and presence. The imprints left behind are unique, almost sculptural, each bearing the mark of the individual who has since left and arousing curiosity in the viewer about their character.
“Beyond the diversity of shapes, colors or textures, these towels tell their own story. They are the imprints of unclad and unrestrained bodies. Heavy, light, lively or busy, these bodies rise, move away and leave their imprints. In their grooves and furrows, the curbs of their folds memorize a posture, feelings, emotions, between presence and absence; just the time to bathe.” -Niloufar Banisadr
